Private Transfer from Zagreb to Split, Including a Stop at Plitvice Lakes

Visiting Plitvice Lakes

If you’re traveling from Zagreb to Split, a private transfer via Plitvice Lakes is the ultimate way to turn a long drive into a breathtaking adventure. Your journey begins with a stress-free pickup directly at your hotel or private residence in Zagreb. Covering a total distance of 450 km, this scenic route offers more than just a ride. After just one hour, we reach the fairy-tale village of Rastoke (Optional 1-hour stop – additional €25), the perfect spot for a coffee break before we continue to the crown jewel of Croatia—Plitvice Lakes National Park. Explore the 16 cascading lakes, from the serene Upper Lakes to the dramatic Lower Lakes, including the two largest, Proscansko and Kozjak. Your experience culminates with a relaxing electric boat cruise across the emerald waters. This private transfer from Zagreb to Split is available year-round. While the park is most accessible from March through November, the winter months offer a unique, frozen charm that transforms the lakes into a magical ice kingdom. Whatever the season, our professional drivers ensure a safe and comfortable arrival at your final destination in Split

The Upper lakes (Gornja Jezera)

Join your local guide at the park (if you choose to have one), and begin your tour by taking a wonderful train ride around the Upper Lakes. Your licensed guide is a professional with over 10 years of experience. With our guide leading the way, we will explore the series of twelve interconnected lakes known as the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera). These lakes change color depending on the mineral composition of the water and the microorganisms living in them, resulting in an ever-evolving landscape. We will continue our journey through the park’s fascinating terrain until we reach the boat that will take us to the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera).

Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera)

The Lower Plitvice Lakes system is situated in a canyon made of porous limestone. The highest rocks in the canyon rise about 40 meters. A travertine cascade can be seen between Kaluđerovac and Novakovica brod lake, which is the pathway for visitors starting from the NP Entrance 1. The trail leads down towards the Veliki Slap waterfall, and continues further upstream around the Lower Lakes in the direction of the Kozjak Lake. The highlight of the Plitvice tour is undoubtedly the Great Waterfall (Veliki Slap), which is also known as the tallest waterfall in Croatia.

The Museum of Bura Wind (Optional activity)

You can enjoy a “traditional tasting menu” at your own expense while visiting the Museum of Bura Wind. Located in the heart of Zadar’s hinterland, the Gastro Museum Bura offers an unforgettable journey through the region’s history, culture, and flavors. Next to an old bauxite mine, guests can partake in a 60-minute guided tour exploring authentic local specialties. This includes delicacies such as prosciutto, pancetta, Pag cheese, wine, brandy, and liqueurs. After a light lunch, we will continue our trip towards Zadar, where we expect to arrive by 4:00 pm. The price of tasting menu is additional 55 EUR per person.
