Whatever the season, our professional drivers ensure a safe and comfortable arrival at your final destination in Split
Join your local guide at the park (if you choose to have one), and begin your tour by taking a wonderful train ride around the Upper Lakes. Your licensed guide is a professional with over 10 years of experience. With our guide leading the way, we will explore the series of twelve interconnected lakes known as the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera). These lakes change color depending on the mineral composition of the water and the microorganisms living in them, resulting in an ever-evolving landscape. We will continue our journey through the park’s fascinating terrain until we reach the boat that will take us to the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera).
The Lower Plitvice Lakes system is situated in a canyon made of porous limestone. The highest rocks in the canyon rise about 40 meters. A travertine cascade can be seen between Kaluđerovac and Novakovica brod lake, which is the pathway for visitors starting from the NP Entrance 1. The trail leads down towards the Veliki Slap waterfall, and continues further upstream around the Lower Lakes in the direction of the Kozjak Lake. The highlight of the Plitvice tour is undoubtedly the Great Waterfall (Veliki Slap), which is also known as the tallest waterfall in Croatia.
