Thing or two about Venice and Dubrovnik

Venice is also known as the “City of Canals” and the “Floating City”. Is one of Italy’s most famous tourist destinations and places where we start with our private tour. There are 417 bridges in Venice, about 350 gondolas, and 400 gondoliers. The city is built on millions of petrified logs driven into the ground. These were bought to Venice by boat from other countries, such as Slovenia and Croatia, our next destination during the trip. We start North and slowly come south to Dubrovnik. Well known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” The town was established 1.300 years ago by Greek refugees. It was under the control of the Byzantine Empire, Venice, until the 14th century. Dubrovnik, known as a “Ragusa,” became an independent republic in 1358 and grew to become Venice’s rival in the Mediterranean.
